Rachid, they don’t really care about joining the UN, it is all about destroying Israel. Jordan and its 50% + Palestinian population controlled E. Jerusalem and much the West Bank from 1948-1967. They never attempted to create a state, only to get rid of Israel.

Let’s be honest here, all around the world, whether in Kurdish Turkey or Quebeqouis Canada, large minorities want their own state. In Jordan, the Palestinians make up the majority, which was kind of the plan in the first place. Jordan as a country didn’t exist before the British created Trans-Jordan. That is their country as it should have been, not this zigzagging tiny enclave called the West Bank.
